Calluna Upcycling Joins Shrewsbury’s Artisan Showcase

Shrewsbury’s upcoming Artisan Showcase is gearing up to be a lively gathering of local talent, including our very own Calluna Upcycling. We specialize in transforming unwanted graphics into practical products, Calluna Upcycling is committed to sustainability and crafting unique pieces.

The Marches Growth Hub Shropshire has announced a new initiative, in partnership with The Darwin Centre in Shrewsbury, offering a unique opportunity for eight Shropshire designer makers and producers to be part of the Shropshire Artisan Showcase in April 2024. We are delighted to have been selected!

Visitors to the event can expect an array of upcycled creations at Calluna Upcycling’s booth, including bags made from PVC Banners and Storage boxes crafted from old exhibiton stages. A standout feature will be our water bottle holders made from recycled graphics from the commonwealth games. For more examples of our work, check out our website here.

Heather, Ivy and Jenny will be on hand to share insights into their process and discuss their dedication to sustainability. Attendees can also participate in interactive talks to learn about upcycling and sustainable design principles.

As the showcase concludes, Heather and the team at Calluna Upcycling hope to inspire others to reconsider waste and creativity. Their participation in the Artisan Showcase highlights the importance of community collaboration in promoting sustainable practices.

Also there will be artists, wood crafters, card makers, peg board creators and so much more, it really will be a fab event!  It is on in the Darwin centre between 15th – 20th April, so we shall see you there!
