Mesh and Flag Recycling (Thin Fabrics)
Save Your Graphics from Going to Landfill, Help the environment and Give to Charity - All in One
Considering Mesh or Flag Recycling?
Mesh and flag recycling can be extremely tricky as its such a slippy fabric, but it is easy with Calluna Upcycling – we can turn your unwanted graphics into gifts for your employees or clients, giving you great PR and helping the environment too!
Products are made in Shropshire by women who can not get full time employment, we have given them complete flexible working and pay a good wage per item for what they make. If you’d like to learn more about the sewers you can check out their page.
We love giving these materials a new life, and to keep on giving we decided to donate 10% of our proceeds to charity! So not only are you protecting the environment, but you are supporting those in need too.
So much good comes from every order!
What Can Mesh Graphics and Flags Be Made Into?
All fabrics have very different properties so lend themselves to different end products. Thin mesh and flags are tricky – they are slippy, don’t tear in a straight line and you need a special foot on the sewing machine to get it to sew straight! But they are usually very colourful, they crumple well so make great drawstrings, iron well and the holes are great for anything that needs ventilation. Mesh graphics and flag recycling are some of the harder fabrics we deal with here.
All items have the “I used to be a banner” label or “I used to be an exhibition stand” label appliqued to the front (unless you request otherwise), the Calluna C tag on the side and the care label sewn within. Should you ever finish with your product it can be returned to us so we can shred it and use it to fill our doorsteps and stage weights.

Why Do Flag Recycling with Calluna Upcycling?
We are at a tipping point in time, if we don’t stop abusing the natural resources on this planet we may never be able to repair the damage. Mesh graphic and flag recycling is an important step to reduce this waste.
By choosing to make recycled eco-friendly gifts, we save otherwise useful materials from landfill and reduce the need for production using new or raw materials. As a result we reduce air pollution, water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

Why Do People Use Mesh Banners?
Mesh banners are large outdoor advertising materials made from perforated, lightweight fabric designed to withstand wind and weather conditions. The mesh fabric has tiny holes that allow air to pass through, reducing wind resistance and preventing the banner from tearing or becoming damaged. This makes mesh banners ideal for use on construction sites, fences, and large building wraps. Despite the perforations, the banners still provide clear and vibrant graphics, making them effective for advertising and branding.
